appar. proper name (place), only in וְדָן וְיָוָן Yechezkel 27:19 Wedān and Yāwān (compare VB and reff.) but identif. wholly doubtful; = Waddân near Medina according to Glas^{Skizze ii. 428}: Septuagint om.; text probably corrupt, compare Stade ^{Javan. 11. ff.} Davidson and elsewhere; Ewald Hitzig read דְּדָן, but דְּדָן is in following see, and anticipation improb., compare Stade^l.c.; Co reads (for ודן ויון) וְאַרְנָבָן, on the basis of Babylonian & Assyrian Aranabanim, Arnabani, proper name (place), following Ḫilbunim (חֶלְבּוֹן) in lists of places whence wine was brought (compare יֵין חֶלְבּוֹן v Yechezkel 27:18, & Septuagint καὶ οἶνον for ויון; also Cuneiform Inscriptions & the Old Testament Yechezkel 27:18).

appar. proper name (place), אֶת־וָהֵב בְּסוּפָה Bamidbar 21:14, object of a verb now lost out of the text (compare Revised Version & especially Dillmann VB) situation unknown; Septuagint Ζωοβ, Ζοοβ; so Lagarde^{BN 54} Say ^{Ac. Oct. 22, 1892} (זָהָב).
