appar. n.pr.location, only in וְדָן וְיָוָן Ezekiel 27:19 Wedān and Yāwān (compare VB and reff.) but identif. wholly doubtful; = Waddân near Medina according to GlasSkizze ii. 428: Septuagint om.; text probably corrupt, compare Stade Javan. 11. ff. Davidson al.; Ewald Hitzig read דְּדָן, but דְּדָן is in following see, and anticipation improb., compare Stadel.c.; Co reads (for ודן ויון) וְאַרְנָבָן, on the basis of Bab. & Assyrian Aranabanim, Arnabani, n.pr.location, following Ḫilbunim (חֶלְבּוֹן) in lists of places whence wine was brought (compare יֵין חֶלְבּוֹן v Ezekiel 27:18, & Septuagint καὶ οἶνον for ויון; also COT Ezekiel 27:18).
